Wait times are an approximation: the average gap between your consecutive picks × your league's pick clock, assuming every manager uses the full clock. In a snake draft the real gaps alternate short and long around that average.

How it works

In a snake (serpentine) draft the order reverses every round. With T teams, a forward round gives your slot s overall pick (round − 1) × T + s, and a reversed round gives (round − 1) × T + (T − s + 1). In a 12-team league the 1.01 picks 1st, 24th, 25th, 48th…; the 1.12 gets the back-to-back “turn” picks 12–13, 36–37, and so on. This calculator runs that formula for every round — the same shared math that powers our printable draft board, so the two can never disagree.

The average wait figure is an approximation: your average gap between consecutive picks times the pick clock, assuming every manager uses the full clock. Real drafts run faster (instant picks, queues) and the gaps alternate — end slots wait almost two full rounds, then pick twice in a row. In 3RR mode the round-2/3 double reverse shifts those gaps once at the top of the draft; the note under the calculator covers it.

Why the wheel slot matters

The 1.01 gets the best player in the league but a 23-pick dead zone before the next selection. Middle slots (6th in a 12-teamer) have steadier gaps and more flexibility but never see the truly elite tier. End-of-round slots (11th, 12th) get back-to-back picks at every turn — useful for stacking teammates or executing a zero-RB plan in one swoop. If your league thinks the turn is too strong, that's exactly what third-round reversal was invented to fix.
