How it works

Every slider is a literal percent of your total budget — set RB to 38 and exactly 38% of your dollars go to running backs, whether or not the other sliders cooperate. When your allocations don't total 100%, the calculator tells you plainly how many dollars are unassigned (or over-promised) instead of silently re-scaling your plan.

The dollar split uses largest-remainder rounding: each position's raw share (budget × percent ÷ 100) is floored to whole dollars, then the leftover dollars go one at a time to the positions with the largest dropped remainders. That guarantees the per-position amounts sum exactly to your budget at 100% — no phantom dollar appearing or vanishing to rounding, which matters when the nomination clock is running and you're doing mental math against your sheet.

The four starting templates

• Balanced — spread evenly across RB/WR, save some for QB and TE. Safe, hard to lose, hard to win.
• Stars & scrubs — concentrate budget on 2–3 elite RBs and WRs, then $1 dart throws everywhere else. High variance.
• Zero RB — punt expensive RBs. Load up on elite WRs and a high-end TE, then buy RBs from the $1–10 bin and let opportunity find someone.
• Late-round QB — punt QB ($1–3) and reallocate to skill positions. Works best in 1QB leagues where streaming is viable.

Position weights are starting points

The auction room will surprise you — players routinely go 20% over or under projection. Use this as the pre-draft map, then react in the room: RBs going cheap is a stars-and-scrubs invitation; inflated WRs are a reason to pivot toward RB volume. The plan is the map, not the territory.
