Side B gets

CLEAR WINNER — SIDE A Side A gets 22.1% more chart value.
How it works
Every rookie pick from 1.01 to 4.12 carries a base value from a fixed chart — heuristic 1QB midpoints roughly aligned with public consensus from FantasyCalc and KTC over recent seasons, assuming a 12-team league. The same table powers our keeper and pick-trade calculators, so a 1.05 is worth the same thing everywhere on this site.
Future-year picks are discounted 15% per year out:
value = base × 0.85yearsOut. Next year's 1st is worth ~85% of an
equivalent current-year 1st, the year after ~72%. The discount reflects three real
frictions: you wait a season for the player, you don't know the pick's slot yet, and
rookie classes are graded optimistically from a distance. The current year rolls over
automatically on January 1 — the chart never goes stale.
What this does NOT account for
- Superflex. Top QBs are foundational in 2QB leagues, which steepens the curve at the top significantly.
- TE premium. Bumps late 1sts and early 2nds in years with strong rookie TE classes.
- Team timeline. A contender values current-year picks more; a rebuilder values futures more than the flat 15% discount implies.
- Rookie class strength. A loaded class pulls all pick values up; a weak one pulls them down.
Treat the verdict as a starting point for the conversation, not an oracle. Real dynasty trades happen at the intersection of value charts and roster context.
