NFL.com fantasy football scoring settings, explained
What every stat is worth in an NFL Fantasy league by default now that full PPR is the standard, where NFL.com differs from ESPN, Yahoo, and Sleeper, and a calculator preset to NFL.com scoring.
Score a line in NFL.com’s rulesNFL.com default scoring
NFL Fantasy moved its default managed leagues to full PPR — 1 point per reception. These are the point values NFL.com applies to offensive skill players out of the box:
| Stat | Points |
|---|---|
| Passing yards | 1 per 25 (0.04) |
| Passing TD | 4 |
| Interception thrown | −2 |
| Rushing yards | 1 per 10 (0.1) |
| Rushing TD | 6 |
| Receiving yards | 1 per 10 (0.1) |
| Receiving TD | 6 |
| Reception (full PPR) | 1 |
| 2-point conversion | 2 |
| Fumble lost | −2 |
The calculator below is preset to NFL.com’s full-PPR reception value. Interceptions and fumbles lost each cost −2, matching the calculator’s defaults exactly, so the totals line up with NFL.com out of the box.

Quirks worth knowing
- Full PPR is the new default. NFL.com historically ran non-PPR; its managed leagues now award a full point per catch, which pushes high-volume receivers and pass-catching backs up the board relative to older NFL.com rankings.
- Interceptions cost −2, same as ESPN and stricter than the −1 on Yahoo and Sleeper — a full 2-point hit per pick for your quarterback.
- Fractional scoring is on. Yardage scores to the decimal, so NFL.com totals rarely land on whole numbers even with a whole-number reception value.
- Default roster: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE), K, DEF, plus a bench — the standard 9-starter build.
How NFL.com differs from the other platforms
The core stat values are nearly identical everywhere — 0.04 per passing yard, 0.1 per rushing/receiving yard, 4-point passing TDs, 6-point rushing/receiving TDs. The two settings that actually move rankings are the default reception value and the interception penalty:
| Platform | Default reception | Interception |
|---|---|---|
| ESPN | Standard, 0 (Half/Full PPR offered) | −2 |
| Yahoo | Half-PPR, 0.5 | −1 |
| Sleeper | Half-PPR, 0.5 | −1 |
| NFL.com | Full PPR, 1.0 | −2 |
NFL.com is now the most generous of the four to pass-catchers (a full point per reception) while tying ESPN for the strictest on quarterbacks (−2 per interception). If you carry rankings over from a half-PPR Yahoo or Sleeper league, receivers and receiving backs are worth more on NFL.com — the opposite of the ESPN Standard adjustment.
